   2008  Volunteer of the Year      

George Chance From the very beginning, volunteers have been the heart of the Association. It was volunteers who organized, managed, directed and grew the Association. From their car trunks and homes, members founded an organization which educates and gives networking opportunities (which are essential) to real estate investors. There are some that stand out from the crowd. Each month, volunteers give their time at the QS classes and main meetings. There is one volunteer in particular who never fails to come here each month to help out. We can always depend on them and trust that they are doing a great job. This year we created a new award to recognize one volunteer who goes above and beyond. This year's winner for our first ever Volunteer of the Year Award goes to George Chance! Thank you so much George for all of your help.  Your commitment to JaxREIA’s success is invaluable and we wish you all the best with your real estate investing endeavors!

Help Wanted!

We are currently recruiting for the following positions. Please view our Volunteer Manual for a more complete description and qualifications for each position. Submit a Volunteer Interest Form and you will be contacted about joining our team of volunteers.

• Main Monthly Meeting Greeters and Ushers:
  You are responsible for greeting and directing members and guests as they arrive to the general meeting, and to assist in the meetings details.
• JaxREIA Ambassador:
  You are responsible for actively seeking out and developing rapport with New Members and Guests at the main monthly meetings. The main objective is to make New Members and Guests feel welcome and to answer any questions they may have about JaxREIA.
• Quickstart Greeter:
  You are responsible for attending and setting up in preparation for the weekly QuickStart class, and for greeting members and guests as they arrive.

New Volunteer Orientation

Volunteer orientations are held on an as-needed basis and are announced in our e-newsletter and listed on the calendar.

Orientations are brief, lasting about 1 hour. We will review the structure and organization of JaxREIA and benefits of membership. We will also provide more detailed discussion of your specific volunteer job description and duties.
